Interxion Continues Data Centre Expansion

Interxion, a leading provider of carrier-neutral colocation data centre services in Europe, have continued their rapid expansion of their data centre empire.

This month Interxion have opened their latest Frankfurt data centre. This takes Interxion’s total data centre number to 28 with 6 in Frankfurt alone, reinforcing its position of Germany’s central data hub.

Along with the news of its latest data centre opening, Interxion have also announced it is to expand its Dublin 2 data centre. The new phase of Interxion’s data centre will provide an additional 900m2 of net space, increasing Interxion’s overall capacity to 1,700m2 of equipped space. Work has already started on the expansion and is scheduled to be completed by Q1 2011. Including the investment made to build and equip the new data centre; this latest expansion brings Interxion’s total investment in the new facility to EUR 13 million in the last 18 months.
